Did you know Kinesiology can help your lymph flow?
Not only do we do a significant amount of lymphatic massage during a treatment, there are some very simple and effective techniques you can do to help improve this yourself.
Marching on the spot can vitalise lymph flow, improve your brain power, coordination and memory. There is a wonderful exercise called 'Cross Crawl' used to stimulate the brain and help you reach your full potential. It's simply an extension of marching on the spot, it works wonders!
Our brains are bathed in Cerebro-Spinal Fluid or C.S.F. for short. This liquid performs several functions. It protects the delicate brain tissues inside the skull from injury, by acting like a shock absorber. The C.S.F. also perform many important electrolytic functions. Each time you breathe, the skull bones and your pelvis move very slightly. This automatic action pumps the C.S.F. There is also a pumping action every time the ribs move.
Many people live somewhat sedentary lifestyles which result in little or no exercise. Few people have learnt to breath effectively, and breathe shallowly. As a result, the C.S.F. fluid can become sluggish. Stagnation of the C.S.F. can result in impaired communication within the central nervous system. This also affects the delicate control relationships between the brain and the body. This can result in different types of co-ordination problems which can be helped by this very simple exercise. It also helps with problems some hyper-active children have and can assist in speeding brain damage recovery.
Here are some of the benefits it will improve when used regularly;
- Balance emotions
- Body awareness
- Blood pressure
- Brain damage
- Circulation
- Clearer thinking
- Co-ordination
- Digestion
- Dyslexia
- Fitness
- Flexibility
- Improve I.Q.

- Learning ability
- Left & Right brain balance
- Lymph flow
- Memory
- Slow learners
- Stimulates C.S.F.
- Stress reduction

It's interesting that babies who do not crawl, but instead shuffle along or use a baby walker, or hang on to furniture to get around, sometimes do not make this nerve pathway transition. This can be the cause of future difficulties in life.
Sometimes stressful learning, dyslexic tendencies of word blindness, reversing numbers and letters becomes a lifetime habit. Cross crawl exercises can often help tremendously to enable a person to solve this problem.
This exercise can be performed standing or lying flat on your back. Great benefit is achieved from doing this exercise just a few times. Choose your favourite music to do it and select rhythms for the different exercises to suit you. Make it part of your daily routine, you will be pleasantly surprised at the effect after even just a few days. A rebounder or trampoline can be a perfect place for this exercise too.
Simply stand, sit or lie with good posture, raise your right knee up to meet your left hand or elbow across your body. Now raise your left knee to meet your right hand, repeat slowly with a rhythmic pace rather than quickly. Start small and to your own capabilities. Enjoy!
